Who can learn sound healing therapy?
Anyone over 18 years can learn the simple hand positions which are used in this Sound Healing Training Course. Professional therapists or practitioners can also learn how to use these techniques and integrate them in their own practice along with their other modalities or therapies.
What are sound healing techniques?
Sound healing techniques are applied using various sound healing instruments such as Tibetan singing bowls, crystal quartz bowls, biosonic tuning forks, Chinese gongs, tingshas, voice toning, vibroacoustic audio files and other methods of applying sound vibrations, music and frequencies to oneself or a patient / client for relaxation or in a therapy situation. These form the basis of these sound healing therapy methods, which can be applied for various health concerns.
Do you apply any techniques other than using sound instruments?
Yes on this course we also show how to apply bio-energy healing techniques and applications using your two hands. Some of these may be applied on or off the body. These are energy healing techniques for working on the chakras. Applying chakra clearing and balancing techniques on the chakras may help to decrease the intensity of emotional shock or trauma on all levels of the body’s energy field.
Does the therapist use his/her own energy during chakra clearing and balancing?
No, using this energy healing method the therapist / practitioner allows energy to flow from the palm of one hand to the palm of the other hand. When you use your hands for energy therapy you are creating a flow of energy between your two hands. Directing this flow of energy from one hand to the other through the area of pain, sickness or disease may help by activating a healthy flow of energy through the affected area.
Does the therapist use his/her own energy during sound healing therapy?
No, when using sound healing methods there is a principal called entrainment in physics whereby one force or object creating vibrational frequencies has an influence on another force or object by way of resonance. The therapist / practitioner allows the vibrations for various sound healing instruments to permeate the energy field of a client / patient. Focus and intention are an important aspect of any healing process and this subject is covered more thoroughly in the PDF information included with this course.
How do I learn these sound healing techniques?
These positional hand techniques are demonstrated in the easy to follow narrated practical video lessons which are part of this online sound healing training course.
Do I have to “believe” in the therapy for it to work?
No, it does not rely on a belief system; it works on the basis of the laws of physics whereby energy fields are influenced by other energy fields. It can be just as effective whether you believe or not. Fundamentally it is based on the human energy fields, electromagnetic fields, entrainment via resonance, vibrational frequencies and on the laws of physics.

What is a sound healer?
A sound healer is someone who is trained in the use of sound healing therapy methods. A sound healer would use holistic approaches in order to help restore balance to an individual’s energy field at a physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual level. Essentially, a sound healer attempts to effect a positive change in another person’s energy field allowing natural inner self healing to take place.
What is the difference between a sound healer and a sound healing therapist?
There is little or no difference between a sound healer and a sound healing therapist other than their approach. Everything is made of energy, from the tiniest particle within an atom to the solar system and everything in between including us humans. It is a widely accepted fact that our bodies are comprised of pure energy and this knowledge is now becoming mainstream science. Both the sound healer and the sound healing therapist focus their attention on the overall human energy field and on particular areas in an attempt to help bring balance, harmony and a state of homeostasis to the person’s body.
What is the aim of the sound healing therapist?
The aim of the sound healing therapist is not to treat, heal or cure. The aim of the therapist is that by applying certain learned techniques and applications, the therapist attempts to help activate the natural inner healing ability of the body to heal itself.
What is Vibroacoustics?
Vibroacoustic Sound Therapy has shown Improvement in Pain Management and More. Vibroacoustic therapy is a sound healing method using technology that uses audible sound vibrations which are applied to a client/patient through a sound therapy table, chair or mat etc. This technology has shown to reduce symptoms, alleviate stress and invoke relaxation. The fundamental principal is that external vibration can influence the body’s function. Full article on vibroacoustics included as a PDF download at the start of this course.
What research is available on vibroacoustics therapy?
Vibroacoustics may not work in every case; however its non-invasive nature suggests that it is an important pain management technology. It may help to reduce pain from any source including cancer, arthritis, surgery or trauma. In a program at the Clinical Center of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), researchers attained more than 50% reduction of pain and other symptoms using Vibroacoustic technology. The facility has included vibroacoustic therapy as an integral part of its treatments for several years.
How can I use vibroacoustic therapy?
Vibroacoustic therapy uses audible sound vibrations which are applied to a client/patient through a sound therapy table, chair or mat etc. These products are available to purchase from many suppliers. On our sound healing course we have a video demonstration of how a sound healing therapy table may be converted, assembled and used for the purpose of applying vibroacoustic therapy to oneself or a client.
What is used in conjunction with the sound therapy table, chair or mat etc. to create the healing vibrational frequencies required for vibroacoustic therapy?
In order to create healing vibrational frequencies a CD or MP3 audio file is played through an amplifier which then produces the required vibrational frequencies. These audio frequencies are played through transducers fitted to the underneath of the therapy table. This produces vibrational sound frequencies which can then be felt by lying on the therapy table.
Are there any contraindications with vibroacoustic therapy?
The use of vibroacoustic therapy or other electronic or electrical sound healing equipment is not recommended for use with a patient / client who may be fitted with a pacemaker, fibrilator or other electronic or heart assisted apparatus. Conditions in which practitioners have hesitated to recommend vibroacoustic therapy:
1. Major external or internal bleeding.
2. Severe acute inflammation excluding normal flu.
3. Cases of severe heart diseases
4. Case where patients / clients have a pacemaker or other medical implants.
Patients / clients should consult with their physician before undergoing vibroacoustic therapy especially if they are at risk of heart attack or have any of the above mentioned health issues.
