When the body reaches a point where it can take no more, it may succumb to all the bombardments from all levels and degrees of physical, emotional, mental and environmental stresses. This is when sickness and ill health may make themselves known to our body.

Story 1.
You may have been born and spent most of your life in the countryside. You may have relocated from a lifestyle in the countryside to a city environment and lifestyle. It may have been necessary to make these changes because of family or work related commitments. You may be feeling a little disorientated and out of sync with your work colleagues, your place of work and your new place of residence.

You may feel the pace of city or town life is too fast for you or too loud for your ears. Your energy field may feel all shook up and out of sorts with all the noise and the hustle and bustle of city life. You may feel you will eventually be able to cope with all the daytime chaos and noise, but when night time comes and all this city noise continues without easing or stopping it may feel unbearable for you at times. You are aware that something is not quite right but what it is, you don’t really know.

Story 2.
On the other hand you may have been born and reared in a busy town or city. You may not be consciously aware of the level of noise that surrounds you; for example car horns blaring, alarms ringing, sirens, noise from buses, trains, general traffic, noise from overhead aircraft, work related noises from machinery, computers, engines, loud or angry exchanges between people. All of these sounds can become enmeshed in one big din of noise.

Sometimes it is only when you take a day off, away from the din and noise of the city and spend some time in the countryside or at the seaside that you become aware of the experience of peace and harmony. It may take some time for your energy field to adapt and adjust to the pace of the country life, but a little and often goes a long way towards creating a healthy balance in your overall health and wellbeing. In story 1, the person was familiar with peace and harmony and now finds themselves surrounded by noise. In story 2, the person who had lived their life in the midst of noise, only became aware of peace and harmony when they took time out in the countryside.

 If you can relate to either of the people in these two stories, at some level your mind and spirit instinctively knows that you need more of this peace and harmony and less of the noise and chaos that you are experiencing. It may not be possible or feasible for you to make changes in your lifestyle at this point, so -

What can you do to create balance?
  • Are you wound up like a spring and you feel you are near breaking point or at a point of snapping?
  • Think of the principal of the old wind-up clock. If we wound the clock up too tight we would break the spring.
  • A little bit of unwinding on a regular basis may prevent your spring from snapping or breaking.
  • Your body may have been wound up on all levels by the inharmonious sounds around you but you can do a lot to unwind it and create a healthy balance for yourself.

  • These short periods of peace and harmony can give your body the break it requires to revitalise and heal from the chaos that may normally bombard your entire being.
  • If your life has been 99% noise bombardment you may be able to decrease the level of imbalance little by little over a period of time to 50% noise and 50% harmony.
  • Eventually you may reach a level of 90% peace and harmony to only 10% of unhealthy noise levels. It is not possible to completely obliterate noise.
  • If you feel tired after a day’s work you can simply tune in your body, mind and spirit using the most natural sounds for self healing. Practising sound healing techniques on a regular basis may help prevent the snapping of your spring and help to protect and maintain the health of your physical, emotional and mental bodies.

  • Make positive changes where possible.
  • Be aware of your fears but try not to let fear control you.
  • Aim to create peace and harmony in your life where there may be disharmony.
  • Seek balance in all areas of your life through the power of sound and the power of silence.
